    1. I have the same question but I think it would have to depend on how powerful and destructive the disaster is.

    3. In my opinion the most disastrous natural disaster for me it would be "Krakatoa" because it caused 2 different kinds of disasters a Tsunami and an Volcanic Eruption. It also has the record as the loudest sound in the world.

      Delete
    4. I refute your thinking Michael because Krakatoa isn't a natural disaster, its a volcano that erupted so that wouldn't be a natural disaster.

      Delete
    5. agree with yciar no matter what it depend on how much power is put in with the disaster

      Delete
    6. It did have the loudest sound, but i don't think its the most disastrous disaster because there are more disasters that are way worst than "Krakatoa".

  2. My theory is an earthquake because earthquakes can cause tsunamis, volcanos and other natural disasters.

    2. I aggre with Karim because Krakatoa was caused by an earthquake witch caused an volcano eruption and it caused an tsunamis

      Delete
    3. I agree with Karim because earthquakes can cause multiple disasters. and earthquakes mostly happens everywhere.

      Delete
    4. I agree because earthquakes can also have an aftershock which is a series of earthquakes after the first one. These aftershocks can be worse than the main quake. Also, people don't get warnings when earthquakes come because they're just a surprise! But i also disagree as well because earthquakes happen every single day under our noses, but they're so small that we can't even detect them. It depends on how big the earthquake is.

  4. I would like to agree with Karim because its true, earthquakes can cause other natural disasters. Since an earthquake is so powerful by it self. It can also cause so many more destructive natural disasters. Therefore I believe that earthquakes are the most destructive disasters in the world.

  6. I would like to answer Sharah's question. In my opinion I think that a hurricane is the most disastrous natural disaster. Hurricanes are strong and powerful storms that can affect 600 miles! Each Hurricanes can last for up to A WEEK.It can cause flooding, heavy raining, tornadoes and also fast winds that can reach 200 mph. This can put a heavy impact on a region for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I would like to disagree with Sarah because avalanches only happen in countries that are cold and have a lot of snow, but Sharahs question was referring to the world and avalanches don't happen everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I agree with Charissa, because we've all heard of Hurricane Katrina it was 1 of 5 deadliest Hurricanes.

    ReplyDelete
  9. This comment has been removed by the author.

  10. I disagree with Charissa and Emilia and Karim because those natural disasters are disastrous but they don't travel as far. My theory is that volcanoes are the most disastrous because they can travel very far with not just lava but mud flow, ash fall and pyroclastic flow. The lava destroys every thing in its path. Hurricanes just destory things by getting it out of the way but lava destroys it and can't restore it. Same thing with tnsamis. This is why I think that volcanoes are the most disastrous natural disasters.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I disagree, A hurricane can travel up to 600 miles! It can also put a shock on other regions near. The other countries affected may not be as powerful as the main hurricane but can still be dangerous. Regions near the hurricane can receive violent storms that are smaller.

      Delete
    2. So to sum up what you are saying Sharah, you think volcanoes are the most disastrous because they can travel further than most natural disasters.

      Delete
  11. I disagree with Sarah because if you are caught under an Avalanche you can have more time to live because if you can get that pocket air to you, you can still have more time to live.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree with you Michael, because like your saying you have more time to escape.

      Delete
  12. I would also like to refute Charissa because I don't think hurricanes are the most destructive in the WORLD. Hurricanes can't cause another disaster to occur.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I would like to refute your thinking Emilia because earthquakes CAN cause a disaster like a flood. It can also put a heavy impact on a region with heavy rain or even tornadoes if it's severe.

      Delete
  13. Yes Emilia I agree with because it has to be cold for snow to fall for an Avalanche to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree with Micheal that there are many other solutions to survive an avalanche.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Now that I think about it I want to reject my previous comment and agree with Sharah instead. It's very hard to survive volcanos, the lava runs down. Also Krakatoa had the loudest sound for a volcano. Also volcanos can cause things like pyroclastic flow, as Sharah said.

    ReplyDelete
  16. To sum up everyone's theory, everyone has their different thought on the worlds natural disaster. All disasters can be disastrous but some better then others. If we had to chose just one from all the suggestions above, what would you choose?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with karim because I watched a documentary about earthquakes and it said it is recorded the most powerful and distrustful. because It can cause what karim said

    ReplyDelete
  18. I would like to refute with Charissa, Sharah and agree with Karim because quakes can harm thousands of people and destroy many buildings. On top of all of that quakes can even create other strong and terrifying disasters.

    ReplyDelete
  19. My theory is that when a how a tsunami starts is that the tectonic plates shift because there is a under water earthquake

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I would like to refute your thinking, I think that you have switched it around. From my knowledge I know that the shift of tectonic plates can cause an underwater earthquake which can cause a tsunami depending on the magnitude of the earthquake.

      Delete
  20. I would like to refute with Sa because earth quakes can move the titanic plates and totonic plates can cause a volcano and tsumis plus how distruced earthquakes can be. Also volcanos are mostly in the wild and somewhere people don't live but earth quakes could happen eney where.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I would like to answer sharahs question my theory is that volcanoes are the most disastrous natural Disaster this is because lava comes out of volcanoes and lava destroys everything it goes through. One example is Mont Krakatoa it recorded the loudest sound in history on that day many people died.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I refute with you Noor because it was recorded most loudest sound in history but the lava can not go that fear with out dyeing up in to rock.

      Delete
    2. To sum up what Noor is saying is that, his theory is that volcanoes are the most disastrous disaster because of the lava destroying everything.

      Delete
  22. I disagree with Michael because in order to survive you would need to run to the side and if you are lucky you would survive

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Mike is just saying that if you get trapped in the snow you would have a pocket of air with you

      Delete
    2. but that is also one way to survive

      Delete
    3. can you tell me more? Are there any other ways to survive if so what?

      Delete
  23. Why are tectonic plates so important ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I would like to answer Noor's question, techtonic plates are so important becuase the techtonic plates make up the Earth's crust.

      Delete
  24. I would like to agree with Karim's theory because earthquakes are the causes of multiple natural disasters. These destructive natural disasters bring economical effects and environmental effects. For example, the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami it effected 11 countries it destroyed their crops, there was less clean water which caused a lot of diseases and the countries spend over 35 million dollars for repair.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I refute what you are saying because there are ways to survive a earthquake, but during volcanos it's difficult because of the lava

      Delete
  25. What are some ways we can survive natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes or earthquakes?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I would like to answer Amir's thinking, to survive a tornado you would have to go to the lowest place in your house or where ever you are. That would be the best chance you would have.

      Delete
    2. I would like to add onto Jonathan's thinking a good place to go to when trying to survive a tornado is your cold room or cold cellar and to make sure you have extra food, water, blankets etc. so u don't die from starvation or dehydration.

  26. What are some ways to survive a Tsunami?

  27. The different of magma and lava is that magma is under ground lava is when it come out of the volcano pipe hole.

  30. Canada looks just like the U.S. and the people are so similar it ain't even funny. But I will say you guys get worse snow storms than us. How was the winter up there back during the Cold Wave of 2014?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. To answer your question +Dtrixx(aka DTX), I'll admit that we had some very severe winters. Our snow hills went very high and we had snow almost every night. We even cancelled school once because of it. (yass) It was severely cold that sometimes we were warned not to go outside. 5 minutes of staying outside in that weather could cause frostbite. Our spring has started off to be hot. How was your winter in the US and you current spring weather?

  31. how can littering effect your neighborhood?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. My theory is that littering can effect your neighborhood by making it look vulnerable, like no one cares about the neighborhood and that makes certain people think it's ok and then they could litter more or vandalize the area.

      Delete
  32. I agree with Michelle because littering is like vandalizing and in the neighborhood as well.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree with Michelle and Dara , if one person thinks it ok to litter than other people think its fine to litter as well.

      Delete
    2. I have a question about littering. Why is so effective to the world and why does it have such a threat to animals and the invirerment why do we have different bins and how is it changing the world?

  34. To sum up the thoughts of all my peers, we all have a different thought of the worlds most disastrous natural disaster. Some people think its earthquakes, some think tornadoes etc. As mentioned above, its all on how powerful it was. So all the suggestions mentioned can all be the disastrous if the power of it was very powerful. So everyone was correct with there theory in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree with you sharah because no matter how powerful the disaster is and the damage it does and recorded. Everyone is correct in there theory.
